No matter where you are in the world, you can find colors, cultures, traditions and textiles to be inspired by. Eva Sonaike brings those influences into people's homes through her self-named interior design firm, which specializes in luxury African-inspired interiors and soft furnishings. The company spans five continents, and her products have been sold in stores such as Liberty, Fenwick and Selfridges.

In this course, she teaches you how to bring bold patterns and colors from your favorite places into your interior spaces with confidence, decorating a space from scratch by exploring texture, scent, accessories and more.

What you'll learn

Introduction: Eva's journey from an editorial career to founding her own interior design firm, and the influences behind her work.
Color: how color can be used in the home to promote wellbeing and reflect your personality.
Pattern: basic pattern theory and how to bring patterns into an interior without overwhelming it.
Accessories: where to find ethically sourced pieces.
Mood boards and planning: visualizing your ideas and planning a room design around budget, space and time frame.
