📐 Slope Calculator is a Grasshopper tool for analyzing, quantifying and visualizing slopes on architectural geometry — meshes, SubDs, surfaces and polysurfaces. It automatically extracts the top surface, remeshes at your chosen fidelity, and returns slope values categorized by real architectural thresholds: ADA walks, ramps, drainage, vehicular grades, fire access.
No generic terrain gradients. No guesswork. Slope ranges that actually mean something to a building.

🧱 1 Grasshopper definition (.gh) — the full Slope Calculator tool, ready to drop into your project file. 📊 Three slope output formats — percent, ratio (1:X), or degrees, switchable per project. 🎨 Architecture-aware color mapping — ADA walk, ADA ramp, non-ADA ramp, vehicular, fire access, extreme/stair territory. 🎚️ Adjustable analysis fidelity — Quad Remesh–based, so you trade speed for resolution with one input. 🪨 Smart handling of edge cases — flat and near-flat conditions resolved cleanly, hard edges preserved for architectural accuracy. 🔁 Geometry-type support — open and closed Meshes, open and closed SubDs, trimmed and untrimmed Surfaces, open and closed Polysurfaces.

How to use
⚡ Download the ZIP from your account dashboard and extract the .gh file.
Open Rhino and launch Grasshopper by typing Grasshopper in the command line.
In Grasshopper, go to File → Open Document and select the Slope Calculator definition.
Reference your geometry into the input component — mesh, SubD, surface or polysurface.
Choose your output unit (percent, ratio or degrees), adjust the remeshing fidelity, and read the architecture-aware color map directly on your model.
License
